great food nearby and fine park views for walking
The comfortable bed also. As a single traveler, I appreciated the proximity to various landmarks, made my weekend city strolls a pleasure, but the breakfast timing could be improved for those with a tighter schedule.

The hotel was a good base for enjoying a domestic area, just next door to the pub, the restaurant, and Durham. Liked the price of our twin room and its essentials. Beds were very comfy. Thanks to the amicable staff everything was perfect.
The hotel staff was quite busy.

Local pub ambiance, scenic outdoor views, robust social media presence promoting events
Wi-Fi quality was dismal due to the reliance on a cloud service!!! Noise levels from the pub on Saturday nights were unbearable!!! The shower temperature control clearly needs some serious attention!!!

Enjoyed tasty roasts and enjoyed a couple of gin trees. We also visited a nearby pub to catch the biggest games on Super Sunday. The staff were super friendly and the food was fantastic. Rooms were clean and comfy, no disturbances at night. Would definitely recommend for a fun getaway.
One downside was that we found the laundry stored in areas visible to guests, a bit off-putting. It seemed unprofessional and should be addressed.

Loved the comfy room with a big TV and a good breakfast menu. Melanie was super nice and always made our mornings better. And a bar/lounge area was a bonus! Only thing is, the parking was a bit tight at times.
